Contraindications

• Known hypersensitivity to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, or levocetirizine

Use With Caution

• Significant renal impairment (dose adjustment/avoidance per clinician; avoid in ESRD unless directed)
• Severe hepatic impairment (use caution)
• Concomitant CNS depressants if drowsiness occurs (use with care)
• Phenylketonuria (PKU): some chewables/solutions may contain aspartame—check product

Pregnancy & Lactation

Discuss with a clinician; in breastfeeding, non‑sedating antihistamines are generally preferred—seek individualized advice.
