• Known hypersensitivity to dexamethasone or formulation components

• Active or suspected serious infection without antimicrobial coverage
• Recent exposure to varicella or measles without immunity (seek guidance)
• Significant immunosuppression
• Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus
• Peptic ulcer disease or significant gastritis
• Hypertension or significant cardiovascular disease
• Ocular herpes simplex
• Glaucoma or cataracts

Pregnancy & Lactation

Discuss risks/benefits with a clinician. For single pediatric doses, maternal considerations apply if a breastfeeding parent will handle dosing.
