Pediatric Drug Interactions with Erythromycin (EES)

• Avoid combining erythromycin with drugs that strongly prolong the QT interval unless benefits clearly outweigh risks.
• Monitor serum concentrations or clinical effects of CYP3A substrates such as carbamazepine, cyclosporine, and certain statins.
• Space doses from aluminum or magnesium antacids by at least 2 hours to preserve absorption.
