Absolute Contraindications (Never Use)

Documented hypersensitivity to sucralfate or excipients

Rare but reported; switch to an alternative mucosal protectant.

Relative Contraindications (Use With Caution)

Chronic kidney disease or dialysis

Aluminum-containing complex may accumulate; monitor aluminum levels and avoid prolonged use.

History of aluminum toxicity or concurrent aluminum-based antacids

Cumulative exposure increases risk of encephalopathy and osteomalacia.
